Re: [roses] hajime and red

|| I am no good at starter posts, so I'm sorry that this one is long and rather rushed/bad x.x ||

It had started out as something so simple - Akako visiting the Guertena Art Gallery with her father and mother. The sky was gray, speaking quietly of oncoming rain. Despite the weather, Akako and her parents were intrigued with the infamous gallery of paintings by the famous artist Guertena, and entered the gallery with the intent to view the beautiful pieces of art. When they had entered the art gallery, Akako had gone on ahead while her parents dealt with the matters at the front desk. She didn't find herself interested with that stuff, but instead wanted nothing more than to go ahead and look at the art.
That's where it had started.
She had skimmed a few of the paintings, occasionally glancing at the other people who also observed the art, but ultimately searching for a good starting point. And then the lights flickered. As if that had not been odd enough, Akako found herself alone in the gallery where there had once been so many people. Feeling a little panicked and definitely concerned, Akako headed quickly back to the front desk, only to find that her parents were not there. Again, she hastily walked through the gallery, searching for anyone. The world outside was suddenly dark, people were banging on the windows, and there were sounds emitted from some of the paintings that surprised her. Even so, Akako searched on. It wasn't until she came upon the large painting that depicted a seemingly different world, that she noticed something different, something out of place in the otherwise orderly gallery. There was blue paint that seeped out from the painting, and upon further inspection, the blue paint spelled out words - words that beckoned her to play. As if to further call her to 'down below', red letters stamped themselves on the ground, calling her name.
Akako quickly left the area, feeling more frantic than before to get out of the gallery. Passing by the floor painting of the Abyss, she didn't know what possessed her to do such a thing, but Akako found herself stepping into the painting. The action sent her into a completely different world - a sinister art gallery. Not even Akako, with her love of art, could find herself enthused to be there.
She found a rose, red as blood in color, placed in a vase. It was missing petals, and in an attempt to perhaps save the only beautiful thing she could readily find, Akako picked it up. Worried and a little scared, Akako found that her only choice was to press on, to find her way out because going back was no longer an option. Setting her shoulders, Akako walked through the gallery, glancing at the paintings and heeding the warnings given to her. She found herself feeling like she had been thrown into some game, some predestined encounter that she didn't want but had no choice but to endure. Every sound caught her attention, and she more than once found her heart beating at a faster rate by things that she had not anticipated - like the black, dismembered hands that reached out at her from the walls. There were also the dolls hanging from the ceiling, the game of hide-and-seek, and the lying paintings.
But out of every freaky thing she had thus far endured, Akako had not been anticipating stumbling across another person - a man who looked a little familiar to her, one of the people from the gallery.

(Gah sorry for a late reply! Here I go!)

Akira was just joking when he said he hated art to some of his college friends, he truly loved art that's why he made sure to take classes here and there when school was out. Akira loves looking at other's art admiring their talent with so little tools to use. Geniuses like Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo made Akira sigh off into dreams of being like them, but he was simply in the wrong time period to have been able to. Akira visited the Guertena art exhibit mostly out of curiosity and the need to learn more about different styles and artists. To Akira, Guertena was more of an all around guy; easily spotting realistic and abstract paintings and sculptures almost as if the artist was lost on what he wanted to do in life much like Akira. Akira though sticks with paper, pen, pencil, and occasionally a drawing tablet. The gallery was so nice and big and he easily found it enjoyable until things suddenly got dark as he examined a painting. It was dead silent almost as if everyone was gone. Akira walked down the stairs feeling his fear rise more and more almost erupting as the door was locked to exit. Passing by the window next to the front desk, red goo resembling blood poured out and it made anxiety rise further in Akira as he walked up to the stairs to look at the painting he saw earlier hoping to reverse everything. The list went like this, a person banged ferociously at the window (Scaring Akira making him panic), Projects seem to be too alive to not be, and once at the painting the words shown to come find someone "Come find me Akira let's have a date." It seemed innocent but as it was written in red goo like earlier it stroke fear in him. This time, Akira wondered around the exhibit until finding that the painting on the ground that resembled the giant fish in the sea wasn't barricaded but opened. Akira walked close to the painting seeing it was dragging him in then he jumped into his feeling as though he was temporarily drowning in the sea with the fish. Akira awoke in a red room, looking around curiously not recognizing it until noticing it looked like the gallery. Akira saw something glow almost like light in the darkness, he found the gallery rather dark and eerie, and looking closer seeing it was a white rose. As Akira remembered, white meant purity and innocence, he looked a little closer and picked up the thornless rose seeing a small sign that him and the rose are one, if the rose is injured so would he. This irritated Akira, this wasn't some video game that depended on lives, nevertheless he took the rose and started to investigate, not too far from him he saw a 'Woman in Blue' painting and watched in horror as he was attacked and the painting dissipated with his rose. Akira sighed not finding it a big deal and started to trek on until he felt sick. He felt really ill and he couldn't walk no further. With that he passed out on the ground blacking out barely conscious.

(Yeah basically I am gonna start him off like Garry XD)

|| it's okay! ^^ ||

Akako wasn't sure whether she was frightened, or simply found this place to be absolutely ridiculous and strange. At the same time that she was wary and cautious, she was also very intrigued. Her amber gaze took in everything around her, not wanting to miss a thing in case it might harm her. The red rose in her hand seemed to be missing a few petals, and after reading what that sign had said about the rose being tied to her own well-being, Akako didn't want to risk anything. She held the flower firmly, having no fear of being pricked for the beautiful rose had no thorns. She found this to also be quite strange, but didn't think too much on it. There were so many stranger, scarier things going on around her, that Akako found it silly to worry about whether a rose had thorns or not. So she didn't, and she hastily moved on through the maze-like art gallery. When she came to a room where dolls hung from a ceiling, she traversed through them carefully. Just in time, she stopped when one of them fell from its red string that held it captive. Her heart beat a little faster, but it calmed relatively soon.
After that, Akako found that she instead could not leave through the door past the dolls, for it was locked. Instead, she had to go through what the sign told her was the Liar Room. The puzzle wasn't as difficult as she had thought it would be, and figuring out who the liar was had been a semi-easy task. However, she had not expected to walk back into the room to find the red paint smeared over the paintings, one of them broken. Upon further inspection, it looked like the liars had killed the only painting which had told the truth. Feeling disturbed, Akako quickly left the room.
Soon afterwards, Akako stumbled upon a boy - unconscious on the ground. The first sight of him caused her to pause, wondering if he would hurt her should she get any closer. But he looked so familiar to her, and Akako supposed he must be someone from the art galley. So she walked forward, trying to rouse him from his unconsciousness. It seemed he was in a lot of pain, and she noticed then that he was without a rose. Did everyone need a rose, or was it only her? Akako turned and left him, then, going on a search for another rose or just something that might help him.
She entered a room that looked harmless... until she entered the room within the room. The sight of the Lady in Blue again brought Akako to halt. She had run into walking mannequins, a Lady in Red, and now one in blue. But these rose petals... Surely these were what she needed to help the stranger in the other hallway.
When the Lady in Blue noticed her, the thing let out a terrible sound and started to crawl after her at a menacingly fast pace. Akako quickly left the room, slamming the door behind her and leaning her back against the door. Breathing out slowly, she tried to devise a plan to get the rose from the painted lady. A few seconds passed before the Lady in Blue banged on the window and suddenly erupted through it with the broken shards. Akako, repeating her previous movement in reverse, entered the room from before and closed the door. Now that the Lady in Blue was gone, she managed to recover the rose.
Leaving the room again, Akako peered out the door before walking out of it, hastily leaving before the Lady in Blue noticed her. Back in the corridor, Akako noticed the table with the vase. It was a ridiculous notion, but everything else was ridiculous here anyway. So Akako put the white rose into the vase and watched as it suddenly regained its petals and returned to a state of health. Rather amazed, Akako put her own rose in and watched as the same thing happened.
Without another thought, Akako hurried into the room where the unconscious boy was. Crouching next to him, Akako gently shook his shoulder in an attempt to wake him up again, this time holding out the white rose to him.

|| that's cool - I basically started out Akako like Ib anyway cx ||
